Vietnam tank crew finishes first in 2020 Tank Biathlon’s qualifying match
Vietnam’s VN1 tank crew had performed well in the target-shooting series and finished first in the first race of the 2020 Tank Biathlon’s qualifying match Round 2 Monday afternoon.

On August 24 afternoon, the VN1 tank crew went out the field in a yellow tank, hitting 3/3 targets in the first shooting turn. In the first mission, Le Quang Khiem from the team failed to hit the center of the simulated tank targets. In the second round, the shot was quite close to the target. The third one hit right to the center of the target. In the end, Vietnam was still counted as having hit three targets.
It had shot down all of 5 targets, including 3 artillery targets, 1 anti-aircraft gun and 1 coaxial gun. Vietnam has successfully completed the following goals: slopes, safe cliffs, with no stalling in the first round.

Vietnam tank team joined the Round 2 of qualifying match with those from Myanmar, Qatar, and South Ossetia. South Ossetia and Myanmar team finished second and third. Due to technical problems, Qatar team is still finishing the race. The second stage will be attended by tank crew from Laos, Tajikistan, Congo and Abkhazia.
