The new leaves Karma’s friends, colleagues, fans and Vietnamese artists in great shock and mourning her sudden loss.
Brittanya Karma’s real name is Nguyen Tran Phuong Linh. She is a famous Vietnamese-German vlogger and rapper.
The young, talented vlogger kept calling herself 100 percent Vietnamese on many of her videos, saying her mother was born in Hai Duong province while her father was a Saigonese.
She made a name for herself among Vietnamese fans back in 2018 with videos recording daily life in German. Her vlogs sharing her viewpoints about confidence and life’s dilemmas are not only meaningful but also crack viewers up. Her humorous style, coupled with the lovely “broken” Vietnamese attracts viewers, especially her fellow countrymen in Vietnam.
People called her “Queen of Confidence” as she was absolutely confident in herself and spread positive energy to everyone who followed her vlog or had contact with her. Regardless of her "oversized" body, Karma showed no inferiority complex. Along with sharing about life, she also frankly discussed sensitive issues such as body-shaming, for which she used to be a victim.
Karma took part in the Vietnamese reality show “The Single Guy” in September 2018 and got pretty much wide media coverage in her home country. In late 2018, Karma debuted in Vietnam with the song “Tự Tin” (Confident), becoming a professional rapper.
“Through the song, I want to message everyone that just love yourself and be proud of whatever you’re having”, she said in an interview back in that year. “Millions of people in the world are victims of judgments just because they are different: being short, fat, skinny, gay, lesbian, transgender, flaws on their body, etc. I wanted you to turn these ‘flaws’ into your own attractiveness. Don’t let them take your confidence away”.
In early 2019, Karma showed up at Zing Music Awards' stage with Vietnamese singer Bao Anh "The Voice". The duo had a perfect performance.
Successful career aside, Karma had a happy love affair with his boyfriend Manuel E. Dwayne Anderson or also known "Dat" among Vietnamese netizens. On July 31, roughly 2 years after their first date, Anderson got on his knee and proposed to Karma, leaving Karma bursting with joy and happiness.

Sad news came as the couple was preparing for their wedding. On November 17, Karmar stated on her fan page she had contracted the coronavirus and was being treated at the ICU at a hospital in Germany.
While netizens and her fans are not yet over the sudden news, just around 10 days later, they were all startled and sadden knowing the young talented rapper, vlogger had passed away.
Karma’s mourning service might not be held the normal way, given her disease and the complicated pandemic development in German. May her soul rest in peace.
